Lisa M. Sotelo, Founder and Managing Partner, practices primarily business and investor
immigration. She helps corporations and investors bring key employees and structure their
business to promote success in the United States.

With nearly 20 years of experience in immigration law, Mrs. Sotelo provides advice and counsel to corporations, educational institutions, and individuals with a particular focus on a variety of business immigration issues. Her clientele spans a wide variety of industries, including construction, education, energy, finance, health care, hospitality, insurance, manufacturing and sales, staffing, technology, telecommunications, athletics, celebrity personalities, investment, among others. She also has a breadth of experience in family-based immigration, naturalization, removal defense litigation, and various other humanitarian-related immigration matters.

Mrs. Sotelo is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Immigration and Nationality Law, the highest level of evaluation by the State of Texas of an attorney’s proficiency, knowledge, skills, professionalism within a given area of law. Additional accolades include nomination and selection as a Fellow to the Dallas Bar Foundation and Texas Bar Foundation. She has been honored by D Magazine as one of Dallas’s best lawyers; a Rising Star by SuperLawyers; Texas Top 10 Immigration Attorneys; and Best Lawyers for the last several years. She is a frequently invited panelist for industry, academic, and legal conferences. She is also an active member and participant in various legal organizations, including the Dallas Bar Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association, and the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association. She has served in leadership roles at the American Immigration Lawyers Association; she is an appointed member of the Laws Relating to Immigration and Nationality Law committee of the State Bar of Texas; Council member of the Dallas Bar Association Immigration Section; and is the immediate past chair of the State Bar of Texas Immigration & Nationality Section.
