TN Professional Visa
Canadian and Mexican citizens are eligible to engage in business activities at a professional level based on The North American Free Trade Agreement(NAFTA). This classification is a TN nonimmigrant and permits professionals suck as lawyers, accountants, engineers and teachers to be qualified. Different Criteria is required for an individual to be eligible for TN nonimmigrant status.

How Long Can I Stay With TN Status
The initial period of time is 3 years. If they wish to stay longer without first leaving the United States, they would seek an extension of stay. The employer may file form I-129 on behalf of the visa holder. The amount of times that you can extend your stay is not limited.
Canadian Citizen Eligibility
Canadian citizens can be eligible for admission as a TN nonimmigrant at a United states port of entry and must provide the following documentation.
- Proof of Canadian citizenship
- Letter from prospective employer detailing items such as professional capacity in which you will work in the United States, the purpose of your employment, your length of stay and educational qualifications
- Credentials evaluation (If applicable)
Canadian Dependents(Spouses and Kids Under 21)
Canadian spouses and kids under 21 must provide the following information at the port of entry.
- Proof of Canadian citizenship
- Proof of relationship to the TN nonimmigrant, such as marriage certificate or birth certificate
- Photocopies of the TN nonimmigrant’s entry documents
Mexican Citizen Eligibility
Mexican citizens must obtain a visa to enter the Unites States as a TN nonimmigrant. They should apply for a TN visa directly at a United States embassy or consulate in Mexico. The following documentation must be provided
- Proof of Mexican citizenship
- Letter from prospective employer detailing items such as professional capacity in which you will work in the United States, the purpose of your employment, your length of stay and educational qualifications
- Credentials evaluation (if applicable)
Mexican Dependents(Spouses & Kids Under 21)
Mexican spouses and kids under 21 mush apply for the TD nonimmigrant status at an American embassy or consulate.
